Day 3 of the 3rd Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta / MyBalloonFiesta

MORNING ACTIVITIES
We were greeted by a clear and sunny morning in Cyberjaya. It was 715am when we drove down to Precinct 2 Putrajaya. Kids insisted to take a ride on the balloon this year. We thought we were early to get tickets for ride, but we were wrong. It's a shame, after 3 year witnessing the balloons passing by during the myballoonfiesta, none of us has gone onto them. Not only that. we have yet to see the Night Balloon Glow all these years. I can take all the blame as I do not like to be in a crowd.

Anyhow, the weather was beautiful and we saw a few balloons took off, including Darth Vader.

Kids were excited as usual and wanted to go into the orbs and play in them. So here we go again - girls in the orbs. They are actually inflated balls and you play in it on the water. The weather was a lot cooler by then and the sky was cloudy - and that made me happy.

The boys wanted to ride KMX Bike instead, so they headed to the other side. Qib rode the bike twice and he was a little pro.

The girls rode the bike once and Nuha, as usual the slowest *thee hee*. There was a cruise passing by and the tickets were half price. We decided to take a short ride as Qib hasn't been onto one. We had our brunch at the Garden Lake Cafe, while waiting for our 11am cruise.

The ride on the cruise was nice and cool. Kids sat right in front throughout the ride. Here's Qib, with Masjid Besi on the backdrop. We passed the mosque, then Seri Perdana Bridge, Perdana Foundation and made a turn, then back to the Monumen Alaf Baru where we departed.

This is Seri Perdana Bridge or domestically known as Mama's Bridge.

We got to see our little house from afar after the turn.

Then we were back at Monumen Alaf Baru.

We headed back home by noon.

EVENING RIDES
That evening, at about 630pm, we saw a few balloons flying in the clouds from home. They headed south and a couple (the one below and the Michelin balloon) landed at Perdana Lakeview West pass 7pm.

THE NIGHT BALLOON GLOW
I was tired to see the balloons at night, but hubby felt it would be a nice short one. The night balloon glow was supposed to started at 830pm.

Darth Vader was up, but they took it down right before the session started. :( Frank told us the day after they decided to take it down cuz there was no color except black on Darth Vader.

There was a short firework before we left. :)

Indeed it was short and splendid. Except the ground was a bit soggy. We had to clean our shoes and feet when we got home at 9pm.

BTW, it was a full moon that night, but it was covered by the clouds.

I told myself that night, enough of balloons!!

Eliza - I seriously think you've taken like the best (and most?) pictures this Balloon Fiesta!! :-) Thanks for sharing them, as I wasn't able to get many good pics last night - Sat night. Carrying my 3-year old son through muddy ground was susah sikit.

Thanks again, for posting!
