Magnifique Hibiscus

We added a new specie into the garden family last weekend. You may think the picture above is a carnation, but actually, it is a hibiscus, the layered type.

We bought a few hibiscus among other plants from Sg. Buloh, with a plan to place them in a big empty pot at the back of the house.

I chose a few colors, pink, red and white (of course :)). A couple of the plants have flowers which are double layered type (i.e. more than typical hibiscus with 5 petals only and they look like carnations.

Nurul the gardener arranged all five like this and they just look wonderful. They bloom all the time, and within one week I got to see the 5 petal red and white (they are the big types), and the layered pink and red hibiscus.

Here's the pot
The red hibiscus

Lastly, the white hibiscus
